Fox News Just Accidentally Interviewed The "Smartest Man Alive"

With Hurricane Irma having caused a hell of a lot of destruction in the Caribbean and it making landfall in the United States, people are understandably very worried about what’s in store for them.

Naturally, the news outlets in America are pretty happy to pounce on this, distilling fear into their viewers to boost ratings and whatnot. One way they do this is by interviewing people on the streets of Florida, asking them how scared they are.

Usually they’d get something like “oooh man I am getting outta here quicker than you can say ‘land of the free’ (they’re American) cos we all gonna die, booooyyyyy,” but rather hilariously, one Fox reporter accidentally asked the opinion of a passing chap who happened to be the smartest man in the world.

That’s what they internet has taken to calling him, anyway…

Just amazing. So he’s asked about how concerned he is, and he replies with:

I’m very relieved to discover that, as we speak, the eye of the storm is due south of us by practically 220 miles, because it’s crossing the 80th meridian, which is 80 degrees west longitude.

So I’m not so worried, because it’s so far away.

This thing is moving in a very westerly direction, and because it’s several hundred miles south, the risks are less and less.

I don’t think it’s gonna get much worse than what we’re seeing right here.

The people of Twitter rightly loved him for his candid response…

What a guy!
