It’s a well-known fact that Snapchat drains your battery faster than a double G&T in London will drain your bank account. Many of the apps that are actually the most detrimental to your phone’s battery are ones that may have escaped your notice.

Tech firm Avast have revealed the top 10 battery draining apps for Android users and Snapchat doesn’t even make the cut. Avast’s report also identifies the most villainous apps for hogging data traffic, eating into storage, and impacting overall phone performance.

For example, with Facebook you can stop using the actual app and instead access it via your web browser. Using Facebook via the web browser may be whole lot slower but you’ll be patting yourself on the back when you discover the battery saving ability this neat little trick has.
