'Take Me Out' Is Looking For New Contestants To Appear On The Next Series

I hate to admit it, but ‘Take Me Out’ is TV gold.

Sure, it’s cheese on a stick, but that’s part of the appeal. Paddy is a big factor in making the show what it is, but part of me watches out of sheer intrigue; I would never have the bottle to go on a TV dating show – approaching a girl at a bar is crippling enough – so getting rejected on national TV by 30 girls is something that I definitely wouldn’t be able to come back from.

Fair play to all those people that do have the balls to go on it though, even though it’s pretty cringeworthy at times, everyone knows that dating is about getting yourself out there, which probably explains why I’m so damn single.

Anyway, if you’re love life has a lot to be desired, and you’re an outgoing I-can-take-rejection-on-the-chin type person – then you’re in luck – because Take Me Out is looking for new contestants.

Let the application, see the form!

Yep, ITV’s prime time dating show is back for a tenth season and producers are asking for male and female applicants.

They’re looking for contestants of all ages, as long as you’re over the age of 18.

A spokesman for Thames TV said:

“If you fancy your chances in the love lift or are willing to leave your light on to find love, apply now.

We won’t be accepting applications for long so recommend you get your form in as soon as possible if you are interested!

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact us.”

Auditions will be held between August and October across various parts of the country, with applications closing on 14/10/17.

To get an application form, all you have to do is email: takemeoutboys@thames.tv (for single lads) or takemeoutgirls@thames.tv (for single ladies). Alternatively, just click here and here.

Now that I’m thinking about it – maybe I should apply – God knows I’ve exhausted Tinder and Bumble. I’m not exaggerating either, my thumbs are almost down to the bone after all that incessant swiping. Then again, I’m completely talentless, and I’d be screwed for that bit at the end where you actually have to do something (most men just take their tops off). What am I going to do – write a mediocre news article?

Apparently, a number of parents were suggesting that their kids apply:

I think I’ll probably leave it for myself; give me eternal loneliness over ten minutes of humiliation any day.

I’ll probably just sign one of my mates up or something…

Do you know anyone that could go on the show? Let us know in the comments below!
