Here's Your First Glimpse At 'Saw 8'

One of the most popular horror film franchises of all time, Saw shows no signs of slowing down, even now that main antagonist Jigsaw is dead.

His legacy clearly lives on, and he looks set to play a significant part in the upcoming Saw 8 (which is literally called Jigsaw).

The movie’s synopsis sort of suggests that there’s a Jigsaw copycat, and we’re guessing that the man himself (Tobin Bell) will appear in a flashback, or in visions of some sort.

“Bodies are turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one man: John Kramer. But how can this be? The man known as Jigsaw has been dead for over a decade.”

Directed by Michael and Peter Spierig (Daybreakers, Predestination), Jigsaw is apparently going to be “more fun” than its predecessors, but every bit as gory (which should relieve longtime fans of Saw).

We’ve just had our first glimpse, in the shape of a couple of posters and a still from the film.

Jigsaw will hit UK cinemas on the 27th October.
