Here's Everything You Need To Know About 'The Incredibles 2'
It has been 13 years since ‘The Incredibles‘ was first released, but for some of us, it has felt like a much longer period of time.
Details of the second film have finally been released and, judging by the concept art, we might even dare to say that it has been worth the wait. Pixar is holding nothing back with this long awaited sequel, and have announced that the upcoming film will take place just one minute after the first film ends.
“It starts right as the first one finishes, so it just carries on. It starts with the Underminer and a big old set piece. You know that at the end of the first movie when he comes up and you see the family dressed as superheroes, well that’s where start this movie.” Pixar creative officer John Lasseter told IGN.
The sequel will also focus on Elastigirl aka. Mrs Incredible, and will see some much loved characters make a return – including Edna Mode. Whilst all members of the family will be involved in the tale, Mr. Incredible may take a backseat as he stays home to watch Jack Jack.
However, since it has been announced that there will be more than 20 new superheroes featured in the sequel, we’re sure that Mr. Incredible will eventually have to lend a hand when it comes to all the fighting. The movie will see the family move into a new house, built inside a super fancy forest.
Disney Pixar has also released some details about ‘Wreck-It Ralph 2′ and a new original film that should be in the works quite soon.
‘Wreck-it Ralph 2’ will not only feature an array of Disney princesses, Star Wars and Marvel characters, but one of the characters (named Yesss) will be voiced by Taraji.P.Henson (Hidden Figures, Empire). The plot will follow Ralph and his adventures through the internet as a WiFi Router is plugged into the arcade, sending him on an exciting journey through the data space.
The new original film that Pixar is working on is described as “an adventure set in a suburban fantasy world”, and the teaser footage apparently made audiences cry at the recent D23 convention. The yet to be titled project will be helmed by Dan Scanlon, the director of ‘Monsters University’, and is set in a world of elves, trolls, sprites and other mystical creatures.
It will follow the journey of two teenage brothers whose father died when they were much younger. Together, they will both embark “on a quest through this mundane, modern fantasy world to somehow find a way to spend one last magical day with their father.”
Sounds like an absolute tear-jerker.
‘The Incredibles 2‘ is due to hit theatres on June 15, 2018, whilst ‘Wreck-It-Ralph 2‘ will be released on November 21st next year.
