Katy Perry Ranks Her Ex-Boyfriends Based On Their Sexual Performance

While most people probably spent this weekend lazing in the sunshine and binge-watching Orange is the New Black, Katy Perry made the bold decision to lock herself in a house, and continuously live-stream to her YouTube channel.

(She’s promoting an album called Witness, and so presumably decided to let her fans “witness” her for 72 hours ).

It could have been really boring, were it not for her celebrity guests. A myriad of Katy’s friends popped by to keep her company, The Late Late Show host James Corden among them.

He and the Roar singer had a lively Q&A session, by which she had to either answer his question, or eat something gross (cow’s tongue, a mayonnaise shot etc.).

Knowing that that’s an unattractive prospect, Corden didn’t exactly hold back with his questions. The 38-year-old Brit launched straight in there, asking Katy, “From best to worst in bed – but this is working on the notion that they’re all good – rank John Mayer, Diplo and Orlando Bloom.”

Now, that’s not a question that anybody would particularly want to answer, and Katy tried to be diplomatic. She screamed “no”, covered her face with a towel, and said, “They’re all amazing lovers and I would have sex with all of them after I get out of this place.”

But that wasn’t good enough for James…

He pressed Perry for an answer, and she eventually conceded.

She revealed that John Mayer – who she dated on and off between 2012 and 2014 – was the best in the sack, and Orlando Bloom – who she was in a relationship with last year – was the second best.

Poor DJ Diplo came in third place.

You can watch the Q&A here:

Katy also discussed her friend Josh Groban, who she revealed was “the one who got away.” Chatting to Corden, she explained:

“People are like, ‘who’s the one who got away?’ That’s Groban. He’s one of my good friends. I love him so much. He’s the best.”

Perry didn’t discuss her ex-husband Russell Brand (who she was married to between 2010 and 2012).

Brand recently opened up about their 14 month marriage, explaining in an interview with British comedian John Bishop that it fell apart due to “the undulating nature of fame.”

“Well, thinking about it now I must have been conscious on some level that it would be very challenging if there were external influences [to the marriage].

Katy was obviously very, very occupied and very busy. I was [also] occupied and busy. Not to the same degree, I recognise… Obviously the marriage didn’t last for a very long time and I think that is to do with the undulating nature of fame.”

He went on to explain that while he and Perry are no longer in contact, he does feel very warmly towards his ex-wife:

“I still feel very warm towards her. I feel like when I hear about her or see her, I think ‘Aw there’s that person. There’s that person in the world.’ But I sort of recognise it as a part of my life that was for a clearly delineated piece of time.”
