Enjoy This 3 Minute Montage Of Robert Pattinson Talking About How Much He Hates 'Twilight'

The first Twilight movie was borderline tolerable, the second was pushing the limit, and every movie after that…. just don’t even talk about it.

It was the vampire-themed obsession of millions of teenagers in 2008 that people are now looking back on and wondering “why was something so shit so goddamn popular?”

But, if there’s one person who hate the series the most, it’s the lead actor Robert Pattinson. The former Harry Potter star took the role of lead (and constipated looking) vampire in the weird teeny flick, but was renowned for making sly digs at the franchise during press interviews and appearances. It’s not surprising he kept donning the fangs and weird sparkly skin, however, as the star took home  reported $2.5 million for each of the first two movies and a combined $25 million for the final two-parter.

That’s a lot of money, who wouldn’t carry on being the crush of millions of weird vampire obsessed teenagers if there was this kind of dollar involved. Would you rather earn $30 million, or keep your dignity? He chose the first option. Pattinson’s current net worth is estimated at a cool $100 million, so we’re willing to bet the dollars soothe his wounded ego from working on such a crap set of movies.

Some funny internet guy has collected an entertaining three minute’s worth of clips of Pattinson taking digs at Twilight. Check it out:

But it turns out Pattinson is one of many, many actors who hated movies they worked on. And the main thing shared by the movies that actors hate starring in? Salaries.

Channing Tatum, after starring in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra told a radio station: “Look, I’ll be honest. I f***en hate that movie. I hate that movie.”

James Bond actor Sean Connery despised the 007 character, telling press: “I have always hated that damned James Bond. I’d like to kill him.”

“I think one of the appeals that Bond has for women … is that he is decisive, cruel even,” he went on to say, and was reluctant to do more than one Bond movie. But, every time he quit they offered more money and he kept taking it, donating the money he made for his fifth movie to charity allegedly in spite. (Presumably, he would have continued indefinitely if the UK economy could support it.)

Hollywood classic Christopher Plummer reportedly hated The Sound Of Music, despite it propelling him into eternal stardom and wealthiness. Mr. Von Trapp refused to attend any cast reunions, and is known for referring to his biggest hit as ‘The Sound Of Mucus’. Nice.

Paul Newman described The Silver Chalice as “The worst motion picture produced during the 1950s,” Sylvester Stallone described Stop, or Mom Will Shoot as “Maybe one of the worst films in the entire solar system, including alien productions we’ve never seen,” and after watching Garfield, Bill Murray asked “What the fuck was Coen thinking?”.
