Declan Donnelly Speaks Out For First Time Following Ant's Admission To Rehab
Ant and Dec have been joined at the hip ever since they starred in kids drama Byker Grove together as PJ and Duncan back in the early nineties.
They’ve since gone on to become two of the nation’s favourite presenters, hosting massive shows such as Pop Idol, I’m A Celeb, Britain’s Got Talent and their own Saturday Night Takeaway.
Sadly, it was revealed today that Ant has admitted himself to a rehabilitation centre after experiencing ongoing issues with drugs, alcohol and prescription medication. But Dec, as ever, has got his back and thanked the public for their support during this difficult time on the pair’s joint Twitter account:
Thank you for all the kind messages and well wishes for the big fella. He will be touched. Your support is, as ever, much appreciated.

Ant developed his addictions following a botched knee surgery, which left him in constant agony and addicted to prescription medication, and later other substance abuse.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Ant explained:
“I feel like I have let a lot of people down and for that I am truly sorry.
“I want to thank my wife, family and closest friends for helping me through this really difficult time.
“I’ve spoken out because I think it’s important that people ask for help if they’re going through a rough time and get the proper treatment to help their recovery.”
He is expected to be in treatment for 2 months.
Let’s hope he has a speedy recovery.
