You Can Now Zip Line Off The Eiffel Tower (If You're Brave Enough)

If you’re not scared of heights and enjoy a bit of adrenaline-fuelled sight seeing, this is the experience for you.

Perrier the fancy water brand have taken sightseeing to the next level after installing a zip wire from the top of the Eiffel tower back down to earth – giving brave people the chance to see Paris from a completely new angle. They’ve organised the stunt in the hope of enticing more people to watch the French Open.

There’s a catch, though. The zip line is free, but only running from the 5th to the 10th of June – so if you’re not already in Paris you had better book your flights fast! They say that to take part, you have to be willing to give up just under 3 hours in wait time, be over 18 years old and weigh less than 110kg. You can apply to be one of the riders here.

Thrill seekers taking part will jump from 375 feet high, and travel at 55 miles an hour over the Champs de Mars for one minute – before the most exciting zip line of their life is over.

If jumping off national landmarks isn’t your thing, Perrier have also got lots of fun games and freebies to be had in a mini pop up village built nearby – you can even listen to people scream as they speed down the zip wire!

Which famous landmark would you like to zip wire off of? Let us know in the comments!
