Rick And Morty Get Attacked By Facehugger In 'Alien: Covenant' Crossover Video

As we still await season three of Rick and Morty, Adult Swim have released a crossover video with Alien: Covenant to promote the film.

Episode one of the animated sci-fi comedy’s third series, featuring the morally ambiguous scientist and his innocent grandson, aired on 1st April, but the rest of series three won’t be out until sometime in summer, the network confirmed.
Until then, we have the latest clip to whet our appetite. You can check it out below:
In the 45 second video, Morty and his eccentric grandfather, Rick, investigate a distress signal in an abandoned ship, which turns out to be the one from Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant film. Once they get there and wander around, they are attacked by an infamous Facehugger, only for it to die from the second-hand alcohol and drug poisoning from the scientist.
“It died of toxicity due to all the drugs and alcohol swirling about in my system”, he says. “Somebody get a memo to all the characters in those Alien movies, stat.”

Alien: Covenant is being shown in cinemas now.

If successful, Ridley Scott has promised to make at least three more Alien prequels: ‘There will be another one before we kind of literally and logically, clockwise, back into the rear back head of [the original] Alien,” he said. “If this is successful, and then the next one, and then there will definitely be three more.”
