"Multiple People" Injured After Car Ploughs Into Pedestrians In Times Square
At least ten people have been injured after a car ploughed into pedestrians in Times Square, New York.
The NYPD are reporting that one person has died, and that they have the driver of the car in custody.
The NYPD have indicated that they believe this was not an act of terrorism, and the latest reports are suggesting that it could have been someone who was driving under the influence.
Photos that are being posted to Twitter show an upturned car on at the corner of 45th and Broadway with smoke pouring out of it. The NYPD have now closed off the area.
