Jake Gyllenhaal And Tilda Swinton Get On A Pig's Bad Side In The Trailer For 'Okja'

Replace the crazy dinosaur in Jurassic World with an even crazier pig, and you’ll partially have the story-line for Bong Joon-ho’s new mind-bending film.

This upcoming Netflix movie boasts an A-list cast. In the trailer, not only are we gifted a spine-tingling performance from Tilda Swinton, but we also catch a glimpse of Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain), Lily Collins (Love, Rosie)and Steven Yeun (aka. Glenn Rhee from The Walking Dead) playing equally as eccentric roles.

The story focuses on a 13-year-old girl named Mija, who discovers a strange pig-beast called Okja in the woods. The two develop a friendship, but things take a dangerous turn when a huge food company named Mirando tries to take Okja away. As Mija fights to rescue her friend, she discovers that Okja was actually created to become a new super food for humans, which means that there is a much larger battle to fight. It soon becomes clear to everyone involved that if Mija wants to save her friend – she is going to need to shed a lot of blood for it.

Don’t be fooled by the child-like innocence of the story line – those who have seen Bong Joon-Ho’s previous works are well aware that this director does not hold back when it comes to graphic fight scenes. This also isn’t the first time that Tilda Swinton has worked with the esteemed director. The actress also starred in the 2013 thriller Snowpiercer alongside Chris Evans (Captain America), where she played what might be the creepiest “Margaret Thatcher-like” villain that anyone has ever seen.

According to the trailer, the film should be available on Netflix on June 28th, but until then – catch a sneak peak of Swinton’s chilling character in this previously released promo:
