The First Trailer For 'Star Trek Discovery' Is Here And It Looks Great

The first trailer for the highly anticipated new Star Trek Discovery series, coutesy of CBS, is finally here and it seems to have put all reservations to bed as, surprisingly, it looks really good.

It’s set 10 years before the events of the original 1966 series with Kirk and Spock (or the films that are currently out) and features Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead) as a First Officer alongside Michelle Yeoh and Jason Isaacs.

It see’s Martin-Green’s Michael Burnham presented with the possibility to run her own ship thanks to her captain, Philippa Georgiou (Yeoh), whilst they have to deal with those pesky Klingons. There’s also a new cheery character who senses impending death. Lovely.

That being said, you don’t need to be him to see that Yeoh’s character’s probably going to die and leave Martin-Green in charge of the ship. Have a watch…

The series will be 15 episodes long and will air on CBS, before moving on the CBS All Access.
