'First Dates' Couple Welcome Show's First Baby One Year After Their Date

A show that entertains viewers with a mix of heartwarming matchmaking and hilariously awkward dates – First Dates is a firm favourite in thousands of households.

Not too long ago, the show had their first engagement (that sadly ended not long after), and now the world has been blessed with the first ever First Dates baby.

Aarron Stewart and Ibiba Mudada went on their televised first date on the 10th of June and now, less than a year later, they formed the very first First Dates family. A family full of firsts, they also plan to marry soon – which will also give them the title of first First Dates wedding too, hopefully Fred will get an invite?

The happy couple welcomed their little girl, Aziza, in April, weighing 9lbs 4oz.

Talking to the Mail on Sunday, the pair had admitted that having a child so soon wasn’t entirely planned – but they are happy to be growing their family and starting a life together.

“It’s true that our meeting and the speed with which we’ve started a family is certainly far from traditional.  And it is hardly ideal to do everything so fast. But that is the nature of modern Britain. Things move at a much faster pace these days.

Convention and tradition are both very important to us, so buying a home and getting married will be our next goals.”

Both Ibiba and Aarron have children from former relationships, and have welcomed each other into their families with open arms. Talking about her date just after their first date, Ibiba said:

“I was trying to keep it cool but I fancied him so much. I loved his long eyelashes and really genuine smile.

Things got serious after the third date. Everything was quite intense. Then we went bowling and he met one of my best friends, who told me, ‘He’s a good ’un!’.”

Amazing. What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
