Kendrick Lamar Shares His Mum's Hilarious Reaction To New Album 'Damn'
Since its release last week, Kendrick Lamar’s album Damn has received universal acclaim from critics and fans alike, but it seems very few enjoyed the album more than his own mother.
The Compton based rapper took to Twitter to share an emoji-filled message he received from his mum, Paula Oliver, where she congratulates her son on the album as well as adding that this is “your best one to me, no bullshit.”

In the hilarious text she comments that his daddy said he “looked stressed out on the cover” before joking it’s because “we always stressing him out.”
She then remarks that she thinks the “album is bomb bomb bomb bomb” and finishes by saying “your fans are some die hards. I love them.”
Lamar has featured his parents on several tracks throughout his career, including a phone recording of a conversation they once had about ordering a Domino’s pizza on his debut album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City in 2012.
Since then the rapper has climbed to the pinnacle of the rap, and indeed music world, with releases such as Untitled Unmastered and the Grammy award winning To Pimp A Butterfly.
Damn has been equally well received, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 in the US, selling 610,000 copies in its first week, more than any other album so far this year.
Lamar recently sat down with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 to talk everything Damn, which you can check out below.
