The First Photos From The 'Love Actually' Sequel Have Been Released, And It's Pretty Emotional

Everyone’s favourite Christmas romcom, Love Actually, is getting a sequel but you already know that by now, right? If you didn’t know, don’t get overly excited. It’s only going to be 10 minutes long and appear on TV for Red Nose Day but still, yippee!

Not much is known about the TV special but, thanks to Emma Freud, the brilliant mind behind the original film, we’ve been given an insight into the sequel with a few on-set photos.

Firstly let’s start with Liam Neeson and Thomas Brodie-Sangster sitting on the same bench that they were when a young Sam revealed that he was in love.

Then we have the same pair again with Liam looking no different than he did 13 years ago and Tom with excellent hair game…

Then Olivia Olsen looking totally different – she was the girl that Sam was in love with…

And then Karl. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure he’s lovely, but his story with Laura Linney was definitely the low point of the film…

So that’s all we have so far. No word on the rest of the fan-favourite characters like Kris Marshall as Colin, he’s probably some sort of Hugh Hefner type by now. Emma Thompson is rumoured to return although, rather heart-breakingly, her onscreen husband, Alan Rickman, passed away last year so no idea how that story would go.

Hugh Grant and Martine McCutcheon will be returning but, again, their story is top secret.

Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Bill Nighy and Rowan Atkinson are all also returning.
