Guy Wears All His Clothes To Avoid Paying Extra Baggage Charge

While plane tickets can seem really cheap these days, it’s all too easy to get screwed by the hidden costs.

Checking a bag in can set you back almost as much as the flight itself, and what’s the alternative? Crush two weeks worth of clothes into a tiny cabin bag?

Well, for one Matt Botten, the solution was even simpler than that. Discovering upon arrival at the airport that Easy Jet were planning on charging him an extra £45 to check his bag in, Matt unpacked the bag, and put all his clothes on instead.

His unusual fashion choices did prompt a few extra questions at security, but other than that, he and his girlfriend flew to Reykjavik, Iceland, without a hitch.

As Matt wrote on Facebook:

And how to do it in a financially frugal manner, without having to stump up forty five bloody quid for a hold bag? Simply by wearing EVERYTHING I OWN.

While this worked for Matt, it probably shouldn’t become the new way to travel. Another guy tried it a few years ago, and ended up collapsing from heat exhaustion.

That’s not how anyone wants to start their holiday…
