Never Stop Dating Your Significant Other With The 2-2-2 Rule

After you have been in a relationship for a while it’s easy to become complacent or even lazy on the old romance front. It’s just one of those things, you almost become too comfortable with one another.

How do you stop this from happening? Reddit user Ckernan2 thinks he has the answer, this is how he keeps himself in check.

“On our wedding night, I told my wife that we now had a 2/2/2 rule. It goes like this:

  • Every 2 weeks, we go out for the evening.
  • Every 2 months, we go out for the weekend.
  • Every 2 years, we go out for a week.

We’ve stuck to it, and it really has made things awesome. We got married in August and people still ask how long our honeymoon phase will last. I think it’ll last as long as we stick to our 2’s.”

It’s not something you have to be completely militant about, and we’re sure mixing up the numbers to better suit  your lifestyle would still work, but there is definitely something to take from the thinking behind it.

Do you think this is a good idea? Tell us your thoughts in the comments…
