Artist Perfectly Captures The Flaws Of Our Society In A Series Of Witty Illustrations

John Holcroft is a well-known illustrator from Britain. Among his former employers are the BBC, Reader’s Digest, The Guardian and the Financial Times. It’s not the employers on his CV that makes him famous, but the satire reflected in his illustrations and the retro way in which he creates them.

Holcroft’s new drawings often go viral and spread across the web. His style is based on advertisements from the 50’s, but the content of these illustrations, however, is anything but old-fashioned

The issues he’s tackled include society’s greed, our dependence on technology,  and the devaluation of workers. Here’s some of his work.
