Mother Of Toddler With Rare Condition Responds To Cyberbullies

Meet Mariah Anderson, the two-year-old  was born with Chromosome Two Duplication Syndrome, an extremely rare condition that affects her learning and motor skills.

Last week, Mariah’s mother, Kyra Pringle, posted a photo of her daughter on Facebook to celebrate her second birthday. The photo soon spread across social media, but unfortunately those sharing it were rotten eggs cruelly turning Mariah into a meme.

Kyra has a message for the insensitive cyberbullies.

“The smile that you guys think is funny or the smile that you guys are comparing to a leprechaun,” Kyra said “the things you guys are saying about my child, she’s not a monster, she’s real.”

“If you’re out there and you’re doing these things, and you think that it’s funny, it’s not funny,” Mariah’s grandmother, Linda Pringle, said. “This is actually a human being, this is a child, this is a baby.”

Thankfully, nasty people are still in the minority, and Kyra revealed in a Facebook post that there has also been a huge volume of support.

“I can’t say THANK YOU ENOUGH…to our community…. I promise this is a trying time for me,” she wrote. “I’m so THANKFUL.”
