The First Ever Undateables Wedding Has Happened
Channel 4’s hit show The Undateables, about people with medical conditions and disabilities trying to find love, is celebrating its first ever wedding.
Brent Zillwood and model Challis Orme have recently tied the knot, despite him calling her a s***head the first time they met.
Brent has Tourette’s which means he is often prone to bouts of twitching and uncontrollable swearing. In the past it had gotten in the way of a stable love life.
But as part of The Undateables, the pair had their first date in an Exeter pub, and Challis was too nervous to notice the ticks.
‘I had forgotten what it was like to be in relationship when I met Challis. Meeting her was special,’ he told The Mirror. ‘I loved the fact she enjoyed the whole Tourette’s thing which means I can let it out. If I did twitch she just laughed and it kind of worked for me this time.’
It was after being an item for six months that Brent took her back to the same pub to propose.
Challis, 26, was never put off by the syndrome. She says that they have tons in common.
‘I love him for lots of reasons. We have exactly the same sense of humour.
‘There is nothing I could say which would upset him and we can talk about anything.’
The pair were married in Vegas, with the ceremony followed by five days exploring the city.
Whilst proposing Brent presented her with a scrap book filled with pictures from their relationship, but on the last page he wrote: ‘What happens next depends on the answer to my question’.
