Ed Sheeran Has Something To Say About Noel Gallagher's Rant
We reported earlier on Noel Gallagher’s ‘back in my day’ rant about Ed Sheeran and the current musical crop. For those who missed it, Noel said:
“I don’t think I can live in a world where that’s even possible. When you hear that kind of polished pop and then there’s a ginger guy with a f**king guitar it seems subversive, but it’s f**king not.”
“It’s a strange time and it seems like the whole thing is embedded for good now, for f**king forever,” he continued.
“It’s not all over, but it’ll go back to the way it was in the early Eighties were indie bands are the alternative thing, the lower level.”
Ed responded in his own unique way. Even when defending himself he sounds so damn polite.
Noel was also talking about how much he wanted to play Glastonbury soon, suggesting that he will “bring his amp and guitar” regardless of whether Michael Eavis officially books him.
We don’t wish to rub salt into the wound here Noel, but Ed played the Pyramid stage last year and it was rammed. (In fairness Oasis did headline in 2004)
