The Genius Idea That Was Born During A Hangover
They say that before an idea is born, there must first be a problem. That’s what happened to Gary and Alan Keery when they were nursing hangovers, walking around Shoreditch, London, trying to decide what to eat. It’s thanks to that moment that Brick Lane is now home to the UK’s first cereal cafe.
The cafe opens its doors tomorrow, and so we paid a visit in advance to check it out. Those of you that love your cereal are in for a treat.
The twins have gone that extra mile to accommodate every taste, including 30 different types of milk, from soya and almond to chocolate and strawberry. Sound too good to be true? Well, there’s more, you can get toppings including M&M’s and Oreos. Further still, there’s cereal cocktails which must mean we’re approaching cereal utopia. The Peanut Butter Jelly Time includes Reese’s Puffs, Peanut Butter Cheerios, Peanut M&M’s and strawberry milk, and they have healthy alternatives too.
For those looking for an insiders tip on what to try, Gary told helloU that he is a big fan of the fruity cereals from America.
You will even find Halloween specials that are imported from America, where they are only available for one month a year.
The Cereal Killer Cafe offers much more than a bowl of cereal, it’s the complete cereal experience. The walls are decorated with vintage cereal memorabilia and even the artwork is made from cereal.
There is far too many awesome cereal-related paraphernalia knocking around the cafe to clog into one article, but these Honey Monster’s did catch our eye.
Now we’re off to the pub to get drunk and hope that tomorrow brings us an idea as good as this one.
