This Fog In Hungary Took On Everything In Its Path
Hungary has seen a harsh winter this year. The entire forest in the hills at Pilis, south-east of Budapest, was covered in cloud and fog at the weekend, freezing the rain and fog solid on the branches. It lead the way for some absolutely amazing photographs..
The Hungarian meteorological service posted these photos to their Facebook page after taking a walk through the area on November 30.
The photos were taken at an elevation of more than 500m, but pretty much everything higher than 400m was frozen solid overnight.
While the ice itself isn’t necessarily dangerous, it causes intense pressure on trees, and hundreds of thousands of them buckled under the weight as a result.
