Mark Zuckerberg Just Lent A Whopping Hand To Help Against The Ebola Crisis

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, just donated $25 million to the CDC Foundation to help fight the outbreak of the Ebola virus.

The cash will be used for Disease Control and Prevention’s Ebola response effort in West Africa and other areas where Ebola is a threat.

CDC Director Tom Frieden said ‘The most important step we can take is to stop Ebola at its source. The sooner the world comes together to help West Africa, the safer we all will be.’

The grant follows in the footsteps of Bill Gates who’s joint foundation he and his wife own have already donated $50million.

The grants will go to various agencies and international groups to purchase supplies, such as protective gear for healthcare workers treating Ebola patients.

It will also help to to expand the emergency response in West Africa and any other countries affected by the virus.

It’s good to see the tycoons are doing their bit.
