Men That Sleep Around Have Reduced Risk Of Prostate Cancer
New studies suggest that men who sleep with multiple women reduce their risk of prostate cancer. Researchers found that guys who have more than 20 notches on their bedpost slashed their risk of prostate cancer by 28 percent. The results also indicated that the same group of men also reduce their chance of getting aggressive tumours by 19 percent.
The good news keeps on flooding in for frisky men as celibacy doubles the risk of the disease. This is the first scientific study to suggest that it’s actually the number of female partners that is important, rather than the frequency of intercourse.
Prostate cancer is the most common male cancer in the UK, with 41,700 new cases diagnosed and 10,800 deaths each year.
The age at which the participants lost their virginity, or the number of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) they had contracted, had no effect.
The research was published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology.
