Manchester United Big Summer Signing Under Investigation For Match Fixing

Man Utd

Man United midfielder Ander Herrera has become tangled up in an ongoing match fixing investigation. The match in dispute is an encounter between Levante v Real Zaragoza which took place on the final day of the 2010/11 season according to Spanish source Marca.

It is alleged that each Real Zaragoza player was handed €120,000 which they were then ordered to personally hand to their Levante opponents. It all seems a bit strange.

Herrera, who started the match in question, is now under investigation for receiving those said funds from former Real Zaragoza president Agepito Iglesias and then failing to declare them to the Anti-Corruption unit.

The Man United man, who moved to Old Trafford this summer, could be called to testify in the case.

Herrera has impressed since moving to Old Trafford in the summer.
