Country music singer Glen Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 20122. Alzhermer’s is a degenerative illness that causes dementia and is estimated to affect one in 85 people by 2050. So far there is no cure.

Glen wanted people to remember what he’s really all about, and so he wrote this beautiful song called “I’m Not Gonna Miss You.” The song is a precursor to the documentary about his life, “Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me.”

In April, Glen was checked into a specialist facility to deal with the last stages of the disease.
