MattyB is an 11-year-old pop singer/rapper who began his singing career at the age of seven and quickly became an internet sensation after his YouTube videos received more than one billion views and over 2.5 million subscribers.

 

In this video, MattyB raps about an issue many children across the nation face — bullying. The video specifically focuses on how children with Down Syndrome are excluded by their peers simply because of their differences. According to CDC, down syndrome occurs in about 1 out of 700 babies and occurs when a baby is born with 46 chromosomes. Children with this disorder typically have trouble interacting with their peers, which can lead to bullying or social isolation.
