Wounded UK Soldier Hit With The Ultimate 'Slap In The Face' By The Government

A wounded soldier has been ordered to give back a £10,800 payout because the Ministry of Defence “made a mistake”.

Adrian Whitehead completed two tours in Afghanistan and has blasted the Government as “a joke” after receiving the order.

The father-of-two said: “I’m gobsmacked. It’s a big slap in the face for me.”

Adrian  served as a tank crewman in the King’s Royal Hussars but his career was cut short when a colleague “suddenly flipped”, shattering his arm with a cricket bat during an attack in 2009.

Adrian’s work status was downgraded to other duties and won a £10,800 payout in December 2011 under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme.
