Tulisa Contostavlos Drugs Trial Collapses

Singer and TV star Tulisa Contostavlos’s trial over drugs allegations has collapsed.

Tulisa was accused of brokering a £820 drug deal between a journalist and her friend, rapper Mike GLC, which she denied.

Mazher Mahmood, an undercover reporter known as the Fake Sheikh, posed as a film producer called Samir Khan and met the singer at various hotels and restaurants, the jury at Southwark Crown Court heard.

Judge Alistair McCreath said that he had ‘strong grounds to believe’ that Mahmood had ‘lied’ at a hearing that took place before the trial, The Mirror reports.

The 26-year-old is said to have ‘smiled’ in the dock as the jury was formally discharged, and punched the air as she left.
