Burglary comes with its risks, and stealing from the house of a WWE wrestler comes with even greater risks, as two chancers recently discovered.

Daniel Bryan, real name Bryan Danielson, was returning home with his wife to their property in Phoenix when they spotted two men leaving their house with a bag of loot.

The two men realised that they had been caught in action and decided to drop the bag of stolen goods and sprint down the street.

Bryan wasn’t about to let the culprits just run away though, and he gave chase down the street.

The professional athlete caught up with one of the thieves, 22 year-old Cesar Sosa, and put to use his wrestling skills by holding Sosa in a “rear naked chokehold” until the cops arrived.

The other suspect managed to get away.
