The Ryan Gosling Hoax That Fooled Millions

It would be fair to say that a lot of women see Ryan Gosling as a bit of a dreamboat. Yesterday, however, his fans were duped and somebody got them good.

It started with him posting this on Facebook.

The fans had been duped by a hoax Facebook post claiming the actor was a dad for a year.

The fake post, written on Father’s Day with a photo of Gosling holding a baby, has been liked by nearly a million people.

Someone posing as the star wrote that he has ‘decided to tell the story of how I became a father’, explaining that he ‘adopted’ the baby in the photo when the baby’s mother died from cancer.

‘His mom and I were great friends before she passed away from cancer’, ‘Ryan’ says.

‘I promised her, I’d always look after him. So, I decided to step up and become his dad.

‘He brought me so much joy. He was my everything.

’1 year later after the adoption, his biological father wanted him. Of course, I put up a fight, but he won.

‘That 1 year of being his father taught me how to love unconditionally. We have to stop and be thankful for our children and children should stop and be thankful for their parents.’
